Investor Committee Communication

ESTATE FINANCIAL MORTGAGE FUND (“EFMF”)
EXPLANATION OF MOTIONS TO DISALLOW INVESTOR PROOFS OF CLAIM

On January 5 and January 6, 2010, the Official Investors Committee filed a large number of objections to claims filed by Estate Financial Mortgage Fund investors.  You may receive one of these objections in the mail.

Many investors filed proofs of claim that assert they are creditors of EFMF based on the losses they suffered.  These investors may also have either filed Proofs of Interest or be scheduled on EFMF’s books as investors.  We have objected to proofs of claim by investors who do not have a creditor claim but have a claim as an investor only.  These motions will not affect the distribution investors receive on account of their equity investment in EFMF, which will be based upon EFMF’s records.
